Vinyl flooring 'remains a popular choice'
The popularity of vinyl flooring as a material for wet rooms has been examined in a new interior design guide.
Floor covering retailer Carpetright said that retro style is currently in vogue and claimed that, in a move away from linoleum, many homeowners are now opting for vinyl flooring.
"Linoleum represented style in the 1980s. Since then the flexible flooring solution has had an image change, now better known as easy living flooring or vinyl, but still remains … popular," said the guide.
It went on to state that laminate flooring has also been a "focal point" for interior style over the last ten years.
In a recent Mirror article, Caroline Cook praised the new generation of laminate flooring for its increased resistance to wear and improved wood effects.
The Carpetright guide went on to state that a stylish modern rug can often be used to provide a good complement to the tones of laminate flooring.
