Vinyl flooring part of kitchen renovation

Vinyl flooring formed an important part of one couple's recent renovation work on their kitchen.

Husband and wife Joe and Janice Tobolski opted to install vinyl flooring in a DIY project that saw them put in new doors and drawers to the room, reports the Buffalo News.

The pair also carried out repainting work to several pieces of furniture and fittings in their kitchen.

"They chose a cheery yellow paint for the walls - part of a new citrus colour theme - and had neutral-coloured vinyl flooring that imitates tile installed," the news provider's report stated.

Mr and Mrs Tobolski said the work had not been carried out with the intention of increasing the property's value – they just wanted a more pleasant space to live in.

Late last year, Perry Clauser, head of Innovative Homes, told the Washington Examiner that new flooring was a good way to make a "great impression" on visitors to a property.

For kitchens, he recommended householders think about either laminate or upgraded vinyl flooring.
