Vinyl flooring makes life easier for disabled man

Vinyl flooring has been installed in a disabled man's home in order to make his life easier.
Jack Scudder, who suffers from cerebral palsy and spends a lot of his time in a wheelchair, regularly got stuck in cracks in the previous floor covering.
With the new wood-effect vinyl flooring laid, Mr Scudder is now able to move more freely around his bathroom in his wheelchair.
The wheels of his chair often got caught in the old floor covering, leaving Mr Scudder stranded and unable to manoeuvre, reports the Statesville Record and Landmark.
His friend Jim Weakland noted that it was possible to see through to the crawl space under the floor covering on a visit one day and arranged for the new vinyl flooring to be installed.
"It's a lot better than it was," commented Mr Scudder.
This comes after Jim Plutter, who works at a home improvements store in the US, told candgnews.com that vinyl flooring could look just like real tiles.
