Vinyl flooring 'looks just like real tiles'
Homeowners who are looking for a less expensive way to get a tile floor for their house may wish to consider installing vinyl flooring.
Jim Plutter, who works at a home improvements store in the US, said some of the new types of vinyl flooring were "great", reports candgnews.com.
"It looks so much like real tile that people have to actually touch it to tell the difference," he commented.
Mr Plutter also described solid wood flooring as a "hot" choice, describing how the choice of woods such as oak, hickory, walnut, maple and ash could each offer a different look to a home.
People are starting to think about home improvements again now the recession is over, he added.
This recommendation comes after vinyl flooring was chosen for a development of new homes in London.
The apartments will be aimed at young families and features the vinyl floors in the kitchens, bathrooms and en-suites, reports myintroducer.com.
