Vinyl flooring complements hardwood in ranch-style home

A couple from Sidney in Montana have told of their use of vinyl flooring to complement their new ranch-style home's cherry hardwood furnishings.

Del and Kim Nollmeyer told the Sidney Herald of their massive home improvement undertaking to build an extension to cope with their growing family.

They are particularly proud of the "open-concept space" which makes up the combined kitchen and family room, in addition to the lighting used to illuminate the extension.

"We decided to carry it through the family room and it just makes the area look so much larger without the drop down fixtures," said Kim Nollmeyer.

Vinyl flooring was chosen to complement the cherry hardwood furnishings which were prolifically used throughout the new extension.

Robin Jeffers of 1926 Trading recently voiced his opinion that a homeowner's choice of flooring said a lot about them and is largely influenced by location and the function of a particular area.
