Nursery gets 'hygienic' vinyl flooring

A nursery in Wales has replaced its old carpet with brand new vinyl flooring after it was awarded a grant of £5,700.

The Busy Bees Day Nursery, which is based in the former Weslyan Day School in Blaenavon, was given the money from the Coalfields Regeneration Trust (CRT), reports the Free Press.

Group manager and senior play leader Sue Driscoll said she was grateful to the CRT for the grant as they would not have been able to install the vinyl flooring without it.

She said: "The old carpet was very worn and looked awful. The new flooring is much more pleasant to the eye and so much more hygienic."

Vinyl flooring is also to be installed at a library in the US as part of renovation work, reports the Vindicator.

The upstairs of the Geraldine Humphries Cultural Centre, which will be used mainly for storage as well as housing a large conference room, will feature the vinyl flooring.ADNFCR-2810-ID-19573553-ADNFCR
