Wood floors refurbished in church
The wood floors of a New Zealand church have undergone extensive refurbishment work.
In a recent Marlborough Express article, columnist Claire Connell reported on the Renwick Anglican Community Church, which recently moved back into its renovated building.
Following wide-ranging repair work on the dilapidated house of worship, Renwick was opened two weeks ago and was dedicated by Bishop Richard Ellena last weekend.
"Complete with a new entrance, new music stage, refurbished wooden floors, toilets and a commercial kitchen, the old hall is a shadow of the building the parish has been using," said Ms Connell.
The house of worship has been out of commission since 2002, when a fire broke out at the 107-year-old building and destroyed much of it.
This follows a News Channel 5 report on the wood flooring of Woodmont Christian Church in the US.
Its wood floors were covered with mulch as part of an effort to recreate ancient Bethlehem.
