Wood flooring used in Chicago property
Wood flooring features throughout a property on the market in Chicago.
Blockshopper columnist Helene Achanzar reports that the material is widely used throughout its main level, which also features a wood-burning stone fireplace.
Wood floors appear in the home's living and dining rooms, in addition to cropping up in a number of other sections.
Ms Achanzar went on to hail the decor of the dining area, noting its sliding glass doors provide easy access to the deck and back garden.
The property's second-floor master suite features two wardrobes and all of the bedrooms come with window treatments.
A "full" basement and an attached garage, which can house two vehicles, also feature in the home.
According to a recent Lonad guide to maintenance, wood floors are relatively easy to care for.
"It is [harder] to damage hardwood floors than any other surfaces," it said. "Hardwood floors are tough, resilient to dirt and easier to take care of than carpet."
