Wood flooring to be used in new gym
A new gymnasium in Minnesota is set to feature wood flooring.
Writing for the Echo Press, columnist Celeste Beam reported on the new Lakes Area Recreation project, which will see a state-of-the-art gymnastics centre open early in the new year.
She spoke to Fritz Bukowski spokesman for the organisation, who predicted the new facility will be "fantastic".
"It is going to have all the bells and whistles,” he said. "We'll be using the old equipment, but we'll be adding some new bars and beams and a preschool room."
Mr Bukowski went on to state that the former gymnastics facility in Alexandria boasts "beautiful" wood floors and once the equipment currently being housed there is moved, it will be converted into a regular gymnasium.
Earlier in the month, the New Haven Independent reported on the campaign of Joe de Risi, a partner at Urbanminers, who is attempting to save the wood flooring of a school's gym which is scheduled to be demolished.
