Wood flooring is 'good for the vintage modern look'
Wood flooring has been highlighted as a great material for those who are attempting to decorate their home in the vintage modern style.
San Francisco Chronicle columnist Becky Harris recently revealed that the interior design trend has been around for years now and although she claimed it was difficult to define, she pointed to work by blogger sfgirlbybay.
Over a long period, this renovator posted her DIY endeavours on the internet and many took note of her intriguing style choices.
"She pairs vintage tulip-style chairs a reader helped her find on Craigslist with some vintage schoolhouse pieces. Her polished wood floors and crisp white walls keep the look modern," Ms Harris said.
Patina was also hailed as a staple of the trend and Ms Harris claimed that metal counter stools and wood furnishings paired with contemporary kitchens embodied the vintage modern ethos.
This comes after Bizbash reported on the vintage modern design used at the reception of the recent conference for the Professional Convention Management Association in Las Vegas.
