Wood flooring is a 'premium feature' of Canadian condo

Wood flooring has been described as a premium feature of one Canadian condominium.

Writing for Yourhome.ca, columnist Donna MacKinnon reported on the home of one couple and listed some of the house's key furnishings.

"The unit already has several premium features, including oak hardwood floors, ten-foot ceilings, crown mouldings and marble flooring in the foyer and bathrooms," she said.

She spoke to interior design expert Jean Akerman, who claimed that the only problem she could see with the property was a slightly small living area.

Ms Akerman advised the owners of a way to address this issue through the tactical use of a pillar.

She claimed that by installing a square pilaster between the kitchen and the living space, the rooms will be evenly divided, making room for a modern dining area.

Her comments follow advice from a My Online Reviews guide to kitchen floors, which stated that laminate flooring is both easy to lay and affordable.
