Wood flooring has 'character'

The benefits of wood flooring have been promoted in a new guide to choosing the best flooring product.

Writing in the Mirror, columnist Caroline Cook described solid wood floors as having "character" and said they bring warmth to a room.

She also praised the "new generation" of laminate flooring, citing its resistance to wear and improved wood effects as two of the many reasons for the popularity of laminate floors.

"Better techonology … and improved quality wood effects, real timber veneers and even faux stone and tiled effects are just a few of the designs available," she said.

In a recent Salt Lake Tribune article, the Good Housekeeping Research Institute promoted wood flooring as easy to clean and long-lasting.

Ms Cook went on to look at the benefits of vinyl flooring, recommending it as a great choice for homeowners looking to convey style, in addition to being a "brilliant all-round choice" due to its durability.
