Wood flooring gives 'Vegaslike' feel to bowling alley

Dark wood flooring has been credited with giving one US bowling alley a high-class atmosphere.

Writing for the Salt Lake Tribune, columnist Lesli Neilson reported on the Jupiter Bowl in the Newpark Town Centre.

She hailed its interior, which features two dining areas, a small arcade and a bar named Black Diamond.

Ms Neilson went on to examine other fixtures which add to its casino aesthetic.

"The feel is a bit Vegaslike: That is, think Mondrian-esque glass panels in avocado, mandarin, aubergine, camel, auburn and ice blue accented by dark wood floors, flatscreen TVs and funky light fixtures," she said.

Ms Neilson also noted that players can now order items from the Lift Grill and Lounge while playing and particularly recommended its burgers.

Earlier in the week, Tenessean columnist Bill Lewis reported on a log cabin overlooking Old Hickory Lake which features composite wood flooring throughout.
