Wood flooring features in 'super-sized' Wendy House

A massive Wendy House, custom built for a Swiss businessman, has been reported to include extensive wood flooring.

More than 2,000 hours of work were put into building the property, with up to £50,000 being spent on the transportation of materials, the Sun reports.

The Wendy House, which is built to resemble the family's Swiss chalet, contains many modern features, including double glazing and a fully-fitted miniature kitchen, equipped with fridge and hob.

"We have insulated the chalet and installed under-floor heating and booster heaters, so the kids will be as warm as toast," Russell Bowlby of builders Flights of Fantasy told the publication.

He went on to state that the playhouse is a work of art, in addition to making a "wonderful toy".

In a recent eHow article, columnist Carrie Catalano noted the durability of wood floors, observing that the material can last for a number of years with the proper maintenance.
