Wood flooring features in renovated US home

Wood flooring has been extensively used in a property which was recently renovated by a US couple.

Nola.com columnist Chris Waddington recently reported on the story of Brenda and Robert Fullen, who took up the task of renovating a Victorian-era house.

The couple, who are keen DIY enthusiasts, spent years renovating the house and tried to emulate the interior design of the period by employing an eclectic mix of furnishings.

"[Victorian] houses grew over time," said Mrs Fullen. "We tried to create that feeling with our plan, to make it look as if we had pushed several houses together."

She went on to hail the financial benefits of carrying out renovations without the aid of paid professionals and the publication noted that the "carpentry skill" of Mr Fullen and his son Christopher are present throughout the property.

This comes after the Sun reported on a "super-sized", fully-fitted Wendy that was custom built for a Swiss businessman and also made extensive use of wood flooring.
