Wood flooring features in poet's former home
Wood flooring has been listed as one of the features of a poet's former home.
In a recent article for Country Life, columnist Holly Kirkwood reported on the Welsh property, which used to be owned by acclaimed writer Dylan Thomas.
She noted that the house has now been turned into a bed and breakfast, offering accommodation on each of its four floors.
Ms Kirkwood went on to tour the home and point out some of its key features.
"The lower ground floor has a charming open plan reception area with a stone fireplace and cast iron wood burning stove, beamed ceiling, washed stone walls and wooden flooring throughout," she said.
Ms Kirkwood also pointed out the reproduction Georgian staircase, which serves the upper floors.
She hailed the "charming" arched window on the first floor, which provides "excellent" views of the nearby estuary.
This comes after the Sydney Morning Herald noted the wood flooring at beach cafe Billy's at Balmoral.
