Wood flooring features in Philadelphia properties

Wood flooring is a key feature of one of the many properties on offer in the district of Kensington, Philadelphia.

Writing for the Philadelphia Inquirer, columnist Melissa Dribben reported on a range of upmarket homes in the neighbourhood.

"For sale - sun-drenched corner, three-bedroom townhouse with tiled bathrooms, hardwood floors, fireplace, kitchen with granite countertops [and] master suite with walk-in closet." she said.

Ms Dribben spoke to local resident Tom Potts who claimed that many people travel through the area and believe it to be nothing but "drugs and crime".

However, he did acknowledge the district's seedy underbelly, noting that a street on Kensington Avenue was home to the "worst drug corner in the city".

This comes after Blockshopper reported on an upmarket Chicago property which was noted for its stylish decor.

Among its key features was a living room with extensive with wood floors, exposed lighting and a stone fireplace.
