Wood flooring features in old Chicago home

Wood flooring has been pointed out as one of the draws of an on-the-market property in Chicago.

Blockshopper columnist Rob Piskac set out some of the features of the home, which was built in 1939 and made particular note of the use of wood floors in its sunroom.

"A sunroom comes with wood floors, a ceiling fan and sliding glass doors that open to the back patio," he said.

Mr Piskac explained that the Sake St Wilmette house is spread out across two storeys and features a living room adorned with bay windows, built-in shelves and a fireplace.

Wood flooring has also been used throughout the kitchen and the traditional exterior of the property is complemented by modern furnishings inside the property.

AOL News recently reported on the efforts of a designer Pierre-Stephane Duma, whose new range of blow-up bubble homes are equipped with beds, portable sofas and wood flooring.
