Wood flooring features in classic San Francisco property

Wood flooring has been promoted as a key feature of one classic property in San Francisco.

Writing for the San Francisco Chronicle, columnist Jeremy Schnitker examined a 1937 home created by "influential" architect William Wurtster.

Located on Russian Hill, the house boasts great views of the city's bay, which Mr Schnitker claimed can be seen from almost every room.

He went on to set out some of its key selling points and made particular note of its wood floors.

"The living room has two sets of large windows with direct views of Alcatraz, hardwood flooring, built-in bookshelves, track lighting, a fireplace and French doors that open on to the south deck and garden," Mr Schnitker said.

He observed the interplay between modern fixtures and classic architecture, hailing the contemporary kitchen, which features large, stainless steel appliances.

Earlier in the month, the publication reported on a 1930s property in the US that was furnished with wood flooring throughout.
