Wood flooring 'adds the wow factor'

Fitting wood flooring has been presented as a great way for homeowners to "transform" their homes.

A recent Leicester Mercury guide claimed that wood floors can promote an atmosphere of "timeless elegance" in a property.

It claimed that a room can be completely changed by the presence of the material and highlighted a number of products which have recently dropped in price.

The guide explained that the vast majority of homeowners want to instil the "wow factor" in their property and stated that there is no better way to achieve this than installing wood flooring.

It added that although styles in the world of carpets "come and go", wood flooring is a trend that is permanently in fashion and can provide a great complement to any decor.

Earlier in the month, ioL Lifestyle columnist Caroline Kamp promoted the benefits of wood flooring, noting that the material is easy to install and can imbue a room with "natural warmth".
