Solid wood floors 'grow more beautiful with age'
Solid wood floors have been praised for their aesthetic value in a new flooring guide.
Writing for Article Shmarticle, columnist Art Gib claimed that homeowners face a wealth of choice when it comes to flooring materials.
He noted that each type of flooring has its own purpose and said that for DIYers seeking to renovate their homes, it can be of great benefit to know the pros and cons of each material.
Mr Gib promoted solid wood floors as adding both financial and aesthetic benefits to a home.
"Hardwood floors are stunning and grow more beautiful with age. They also add significant value to a house," he said.
Mr Gib pointed to expert reports which state that homes with solid wood floors tend to sell faster than houses with carpet.
According to Flooring Guide.com, solid wood floors come in a wide range of designs and promote a sense of warmth and beauty throughout a home.
