Solid wood flooring 'is versatile'
The versatility of word flooring has been praised in a new guide to interior decor.
Writing for the Windsor Star, columnist Karen Paton-Evans said that flooring is one of the most difficult decisions for homeowners, as they will be forced to live with their choice for some time.
Describing flooring as the "anchor" of a room's decor, she spoke to an expert about the best materials for the job.
Bruce Tayles, owner of Windsor's Canadian Carpet and Flooring, said that homeowners should seek to enhance their existing decor with their choice of floor.
"Hardwood is a versatile floor because it goes with many different styles, contemporary to traditional," he said.
Mr Tayles went on to state that homeowners should aim for an all-inclusive approach to renovation so that new additions do not overwhelm the existing decor.
An eHow guide to flooring decor claimed that many homeowners are unaware of the new updates which have been made to vinyl flooring.
