'Exceptional quality' wood flooring features in Victorian home
The wood flooring contained within a period property in Scotland has received praise.
Writing for the Press and Journal, columnist Susan Welsh examined The Drury, which she claimed is "arguably" the best house in Oban.
She promoted the location of the property, highlighting its picturesque views and went on to state that the home's fusion between old and new "make it special".
"Alongside this, the exceptional quality of the Victorian craftsmanship is still evident, including original shutters, fine cornicing, beautiful fire surrounds, hardwood flooring and wall panelling," Ms Welsh said.
She went on to praise the property's modern furnishings, which include a newly-renovated kitchen featuring high-tech appliances and its four en-suite bathrooms.
Earlier in the week, Jeremy Schnitker of the San Francisco Chronicle praised a Victorian property furnished with modern adornments in Scott St, Lower Pacific Heights.
He promoted the home's hardwood flooring and light painting schemes, which he said add a feeling of warmth to the house.
