US homeowners turn to laminate flooring
US homeowners have turned to laminate flooring in order to use up their home renovation tax credit, it has been stated.
According to Dave Barlow, who owns Safe & Sound Window Film, many homeowners have used the money to replace the existing floor material in their property.
Speaking to the Comox Valley Record, he said: "Since the home renovation tax credit, a lot of folks have beautiful new hardwood and laminate flooring."
Mr Barlow added that installing window film in a property could help to protect laminate flooring as it would prevent the risks of sun coming through and bleaching, fading or discolouring the material.
This comes after an interior design consultant recommended installing laminate flooring as the material is "incredibly durable" and can be fitted over existing floor coverings.
Speaking to the Edmonton Journal, Leanne Brownoff stated that the floor covering is more affordable than many other materials and simple to fit, keep clean and maintain.
