There is a 'perfect wood floor' no matter your climate, budget or space
According to one flooring expert, there is a perfect floor for everyone regardless of their budget, space and climate.
Robin Jeffers of 1926 Trading claimed that floors can say a lot about someone and that different situations have a clear influence on a person's choice of flooring.
He stated that oak flooring was a popular choice among "no muss, no fuss" people who desired a neutrally warm feeling for their home.
For those who had a large family, Mr Jeffers suggested that an engineered wood floor would be the perfect choice. Its hardness and adhesion came with all the aesthetic beauty of a regular wood floor but with extra durability.
Renovators on a budget should attempt to create the wood effect at a cheaper price by the use of quality laminate flooring, which had the added benefit of being waterproof and suitable for moist areas like bathrooms, he advised.
His advice follows tips from the Daily Mirror which suggested earlier in the month that the right maintenance for flooring could transform the look of a home.
