Refurbished church opts for laminate flooring
A church has used a refurbishment grant to undertake a series of upgrades to its halls, including installing laminate flooring.
In a recent article for the Burnham and HighBridge Weekly news, the renovation works undertaken at St Andrew's Church hall were explored in detail.
The house of worship received £30,000 from Viridor Credits, which it used to upgrade the hall's kitchen facilities, toilets and install new laminate floors.
Warden of the church John Page applied for the grant in September 2010 and expressed his gratitude to Viridor for its support with the project.
"They have been really helpful and I would recommend anyone with an asset that benefits the community to contact them. It is a significant amount of money," he said.
According to the Laminate Flooring Guide, the material's success in Europe has made it the "fastest growing" choice for floors in America.
