Laminate flooring replaces worn out carpet in renovated home
Laminate flooring has been used to replace a dull and haggard carpet in a newly-renovated home.
Writing for lfpress.com, columnist Jill Ellis-Worthington spoke to Sherri Player of Details Restorations & Renovations about the recent work she undertook at the home of Barb Campbell.
In order to get a better price when putting her property on the market, Ms Campbell asked Ms Player for a quote and quickly accepted.
Together they made key decisions on how to exploit the home's ample room and developed a "great working relationship" before getting to work on the walk-in basement.
"Instead of worn carpet, an attractive, textured wood-look laminate flooring now provides an easily cleanable base for this [area]," said Ms Ellis-Worthington.
The pair went on to tackle the upstairs of the 35-year-old home and made use of its large windows to maximise the natural light.
A recent Blockshopper article promoted the laminate flooring contained in a 1961 property located in Chicago.
