Laminate flooring offers new mums comfort at medical centre

Mums-to-be in Canada will be able to give birth in more comfortable surroundings after laminate flooring was installed at a redeveloped hospital.

The Sudbury Regional Hospital has undergone renovation work in order to create a better environment for new patients.

Instead of two large delivery rooms, babies will now be brought into the world in six birthing rooms, all of which feature laminate flooring and bathing tubs.

Sean Murray, medical director of the hospital's family and child programme, said the new unit would be one of the standout areas on the site.

Speaking to the Sudbury Star, he commented: "When you walk around our new space, you will see a bright, cheery atmosphere."

A ten-bed neonatal intensive care unit is also now in place in the hospital for newborns who need a little more help.

This comes after Clair and Barbara Ramsey, a pair of associate brokers, told the Anchorage Daily News that laminate flooring is a popular and durable choice.
