Laminate flooring market 'likely to see increased demand'

Despite experiencing declines during the recent economic recession, the global laminate flooring market is expected to be infused with new demand, according to a new report.

A study by Global Industry Analysts states that Europe is the largest regional market for laminate flooring products in the world and credits environmental awareness and ergonomic product design as the main driving factors behind this.

The report goes on to state that European manufacturers dominate the global market for laminate flooring due to their technical expertise and entrepreneurship.

It also predicts increased demand for a range of wood flooring products as the economic recovery kicks in and more disposable income becomes available.

"The expected recovery of new residential construction from low levels seen [in recent years] is likely to infuse new demand for laminate flooring and other kinds of flooring," said the report.

In a recent AnnArbor.com article, contributor Keith Paul advised homeowners that laminate flooring should always be installed on even surfaces.
