Laminate flooring is 'incredibly durable'

Homeowners who are looking to install a new floor that will last for many years may wish to consider fitting laminate flooring.

This is because the floor material is "incredibly durable", according to interior design consultant Leanne Brownoff.

Speaking to the Edmonton Journal, Ms Brownoff stated laminate flooring is easy to clean, simple to install and more economical than some other floor materials.

"Laminate flooring can be installed over most pre-existing flooring," she commented.

Ms Brownoff noted that laminate flooring can be chosen to mimic the appearance of a wood or stone floor.

She added that any homeowners who are concerned about any noise that may be created by walking on the material could install an underlay to minimise the sound.

Laminate flooring was recently chosen to be installed in a development of new homes in Canada.

The floor covering was selected at the Brandy Lane Homes' Wyldewood Condominiums to offer warmth and comfort, reports the Toronto Sun.
