Laminate flooring 'is easy to clean'

Laminate flooring's major advantage over other types of floor covering is how easy it is to clean.

Siragi Kazibwe, the retail supervisor at CTM Uganda, stated that the floor can be kept cleaning by sweeping it.

Speaking to the Daily Monitor, he explained that mopping the laminate flooring every now and again will ensure it retains its finish.

But he pointed out that as laminate flooring warps if it gets wet, it is perhaps not the best choice for areas such as bathrooms and kitchens.

Mr Kazibwe added that while some people may not like the sound made by walking on laminate flooring, this can be neutralised easily.

"If the product doesn't have a cushion, we recommend you to put a separate underlinement on the floor prior to installing and that helps to adjust the noise," he explained.

The Arizona Daily Star recently reported that laminate flooring is a feature of Nanette and Tom Slussler's recently-renovated home.
