Laminate flooring 'is becoming more popular'

More and more homeowners are turning to laminate flooring as a versatile means of improving the aesthetic appeal of their property.

This is according to Pocyline Karani, a columnist for the Standard, who stated that the flooring option is gaining popularity due to the "variety of colours and quality" it can provide.

Although many choose to install laminate flooring that mimics the appearance of wood, the article noted that it can also be made to resemble ceramic tile, as well as highlighting its potential appeal when used on staircases.

According to the author, "the material you choose for an indoor staircase impacts immensely on the surrounding decor and therefore calls for careful consideration".

The protective qualities of the material were also highlighted, allowing laminate floors to act as a layer of lacquer, while the underlying membrane can also absorb sound.

Earlier this month, Kristen Inbody told the Great Falls Tribune that laminate flooring represents an affordable and easy-to-install option for homes.
