Laminate flooring installed in redeveloped apartments

Laminate flooring has been chosen to be installed at a redevelopment of apartments in the US.

The modernisation work at the Peace Village in Illinois also includes adding oak trim and counter-tops that look like granite, as well as the wood-effect laminate flooring

"Peace Village celebrated our 20th year in Palos Park in 2009, and is beginning to prepare the community for the next 20 in 2010," Harvey Leffring, the chief executive of the Peace Village, told the Regional News.

The village's revamp also includes a new fitness centre, which will be staffed with a trainer who will help residents to stay active.

An on-site bistro has also been expanded with the aim of making it a hub for the community.

Installing laminates can be a good choice of flooring as it is simple to keep clean and to maintain.

According to an article on eHow, simply sweeping the laminate flooring with a broom can clear any surface dirt or dust.
