Laminate flooring installed in condos
Laminate flooring has been chosen to be installed in a California development of condos.
The flooring will be put in at the last of the four-building Metro Place Condos development, reports the National Post.
Laminate flooring will be in place as standard throughout the living rooms and kitchens of the condos, while a carpet has been chosen for the bedrooms.
The condos, built by Liberty Developments, will be aimed mainly at first-time buyers and are based at Parkside Tower, on Sheppard Avenue West and Allen Road in North York. They will be available from spring 2012.
Laminate flooring is an eco-friendly choice as it helps to retain heat in the property, Othmar Jacobs of Creative Design told the Evansville Courier & Press last week.
He said: "A laminate with a thinner-wearing surface will help with energy efficiency."
Laminate flooring has become a popular option, said DIY Doctor, as it is versatile and inexpensive.
