Laminate flooring installation on stairs is 'easy'
Laminate flooring's ease of installation has been highlighted in a new guide to fitting the material.
An eHow article on applying laminate floors to staircases claimed that a brand with a rough-surfaced style is a particularly good option for homeowners.
It noted that the material does not take much effort to maintain and is easier to clean than carpet, in addition to resisting the signs of wear and tear.
Although promoting the installation process as easy for DIY enthusiasts, it warned homeowners to ensure each plank is fitted properly, as loose fixtures can cause "severe injury".
Similarly, it advised installers to make sure the surface of the laminate flooring does not become slippery when wet, as this could be an issue for those climbing the staircase.
Earlier in the month, the San Fernando Sun also hailed laminate flooring, hailing it as easy to install, in addition to being great for families with kids or pets.
