Laminate flooring 'ideal for home office'
Laminate flooring could be ideal for people who are setting up an office at home, an expert has said.
According to Neil Wertheimer, editor-in-chief of Fresh Home magazine, home workers tend to have lots of items that could potentially damage the floor.
For example, he noted that a desk, office chair, casters and book cases can easily lead to flooring become scratched and dented.
Mr Wertheimer has therefore suggested that if people are creating an office space at home, they use laminate flooring.
He described it as a highly durable and sturdy material that looks good as well.
Mr Wertheimer added that laminate flooring is also very affordable and easy to install.
The advice comes as snow causes significant disruption to the UK's transport network, potentially leading to many employees choosing to work remotely.
Numerous flights in and out of the country have been delayed or cancelled, while Eurostar services have been suspended.
