Laminate flooring 'growing in popularity'
Laminate flooring is likely to become much more popular in the next few years, according to a new report.
A market study carried out by BizAcumen concluded that the versatility and cost of laminate flooring would help to make it a leading choice for people buying floor coverings.
It pointed out that it is cheaper to buy than alternatives such as stone and ceramics, even though it can form a hard-wearing surface.
The report explained that laminate flooring benefits from "enhanced performance properties such as durability, fade and stain resistance, low maintenance, as well as lower price and varied styles".
In addition to being a practical solution, laminate flooring is also a stylish option and the study noted that it can be used to achieve a similar look to those possible with stone tiles or hardwood.
Balterio recently launched a new product intended to do exactly that, as its Pure Stone range of laminate tiles are designed to look like natural stone.
