Laminate flooring 'easy to install'
Laminate flooring products are becoming increasingly popular due to how easy they are to install, one home improvement expert has claimed.
In an article for AnnArbor.com, columnist Keith Paul responded to a reader query from a novice DIY enthusiast, who wanted to know if installing laminate flooring was as easy as she had been told.
Mr Paul promoted laminate floors as a great product, boasting durability and great aesthetics.
"The installation process has come a long way and such flooring can be relatively easy to install, with recent updates such as glue-less interlocking snap-and-locking systems," he said.
Last month, an Ottawa Citizen article told of the ease with which stains on laminate flooring could be cleaned.
Mr Paul went on to state that laminate floors had become a popular alternative to traditional solid wood flooring, although he did not recommend installing the product over linoleum surfaces, due to the potential problems with it buckling.
