Laminate flooring destroyed in neighbourhood feud
Laminate flooring was destroyed as a feud between neighbours escalated.
Writing for the Sun, columnist Gordon Currie reported on the story of Shirley Elliot and partner Colin Callachan, who were subject to a malicious attack which ruined much of their property.
It was discovered that the pair's neighbour, George McGourty, had stealthily drilled a hole into their home, through which he spent months pouring thousands of gallons of water.
Once the hose was discovered and traced back to Mr McGourty's premises, the police became involved.
The couple were forced to move out of their home for a total of eight months as the damage was repaired.
"I was off my work with stress. This has transformed my character. I'll just be glad when he gets sent to prison for what he did to us," said Ms Elliot.
A recent Santa Clarita Valley Signal article reported on flooring manufacturer Dustin Downen, who claimed that the "universal plus" of laminate flooring is its value.
