Laminate flooring could increase house price

Laying laminate flooring could help make a home more attractive to a buyer and even make it easier to sell.

Homeowner Nina Lubbren called in house doctor Liz Tabecki from Stage One Interiors, to make her Cambridge home more saleable, reports the Daily Telegraph.

Ms Tabecki installed laminate flooring in the kitchen as well as adding new blinds to the room and a new hob.

"Liz identified certain things we didn't have the budget to change, and then cleverly made them work," said Ms Lubbren.

Ms Tabecki also packed away personal items, as they could make it difficult for buyers to imagine themselves living in the house.

It is the latest success story for laminate flooring, which was recently chosen for a development at a US army base, reports the State.

The flooring will be fitted in 850 housing units in Fort Jackson.

Laminate flooring is a popular choice for kitchens as it is easy to clean, simply needing a wipe with a cloth or a mop.ADNFCR-2810-ID-19583650-ADNFCR
