Laminate flooring 'can replicate wood floor look'
Installing laminate flooring in a kitchen can replicate the look of a stone or wood floor.
Laminate flooring could be laid in a weekend by a beginner to give a kitchen a different look, reports the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
There is no need to take out the existing floor before installing laminate flooring, making it a simple job.
Kitchen project specialist Janelle Van Wyk said there was no need to call in experts.
She said: "Little things can make a difference. You also might be surprised at how much of the work you can do yourself."
As well as installing laminate flooring, homeowners may wish to consider replacing lighting or cabinets, or even repainting the room.
Laminate flooring could be a good selection for a kitchen as it is simple to clean.
Anthony Davis said in a piece for Ezine Articles that no expensive cleaning materials were required to maintain laminate flooring and that sweeping it with a brush would get the dirt off it.
