Laminate flooring can be part of a 'cosy room'

Laminate flooring can be one of the most versatile bases to work with for people planning to give their home a makeover.

Interior design fashions change on a regular basis and keeping up with them - or even just ensuring your home stays looking fresh - can be expensive.

Anyone with carpets in their living room will find they have limited choice when it comes to colour schemes when they want to make a change, unless they go to the expense of choosing new carpets.

However, good quality laminate flooring will go with any kind of design that the homeowner wants, particularly if they are trying to create a chic modern look.

Writing for Next, designer Aderonke Adeyemi said it is also easy to give a living room with laminate flooring a traditional, cosy feel.

He explained that using an area rug, perhaps under a dining or coffee table, could help to add colour and texture to the room, giving it a much warmer feel.
