Laminate flooring 'a durable choice'
Homeowners with children may wish to consider installing laminate flooring as it is durable enough to cope with high foot traffic, it has been stated.
Clair and Barbara Ramsey, a pair of associate brokers specialising in residential real estate, said that it was an obvious choice to either repaint the walls of a home or replace the flooring.
They said that carrying out home improvement works could either make a home more attractive to live in or help to sell it.
In a column for the Anchorage Daily News, they commented: "Installing laminate wood flooring in higher-traffic areas is a popular and durable choice, especially if you have kids and pets."
According to the pair, another change that a homeowner can implement that can make an immediate impact is to replace the entry door to the house.
This comes after Mike Albrecht, division director for Home Depot's installation business, told MarketWatch that installing laminate flooring could be a good DIY project for a homeowner.
