With the summer months fast approaching, many of us will be spending time outside and those with summer-houses in the garden should think about dusting off the cobwebs and sprucing it up in-time for the nice weather.
But if you are thinking of starting a complete make-over you could be thinking about what kind of flooring to put down to get the best from it and to last through the hard winter that will follow the summer.
If you think that your summer-house will only be used occasionally then a cheaper flooring option could be sensible such as plywood or basic plank flooring, but if you want something a little more special than real solid wood flooring will not only give your summer-house character, it will last longer than many of the cheaper flooring options.
Try a solid oak floor, not only does it provide a much harder wearing surface, it can be easy to clean and better if you have children in and out of the house.
Talk to your flooring supplier who will advise on the best type of floor to put-down for the amount of use it will have, and why not take a sample home with you to give you an idea on how it will look.
