The company behind a vinyl flooring recycling scheme, Recofloor, has revealed the success behind its flooring roadshows - which attracted a number of new members to the scheme.
The nine events, held in 2011, drew in 75 additional flooring contractors to the successful recycling scheme, with a conversation over a bacon sandwich used to lure in sceptics.
A representative for Recofloor, Matt Charlton, commented on the results yielded by the Vinyl Recycling Flooring Roadshows.
He said: "We had a tremendous response, which certainly exceed our expectations, and we received a lot of positive feedback from existing and potential Recofloor members. Many commented on how the Recofloor scheme is straightforward and easy to use."
Recofloor provides collection points across the United Kingdom and Ireland, which allow for people to drop off their old and unwanted vinyl flooring; this flooring is then recycled rather than sent to landfill sites.
Charlton added that the company were already planning similar events to recruit new scheme members for 2012.
