In the past, vinyl flooring may have been seen as an inferior alternative to solid and laminate wood flooring.
However, improvements in the available finishes have made vinyl more of a competitor and the new easy-to-install plank system is only set to improve its reputation.
Swedish floor manufacturer, Pergo, has a range of vinyl flooring planks with a simple click and lock joint system, making for a much simpler installation process.
Offering a multi-layered vinyl surface and dense material at its core, vinyl planks provide great protection from regular wear and tear – it's this system that also gives vinyl planks and tiles the resistance against indentations left from castor chairs.
The fine finishes, such as that of oak, are achieved with an embossing technique that means every nuance and indent of the wood is perfectly mimicked – providing the warm atmosphere of wooden flooring, but without the lengthy period of installation.
