American Interior designer, Cindy Payne, writing for the Las Vegas Review Journal, has lavished huge praise on vinyl flooring.
As technology has improved, so has the appearance of vinyl floors; a durable floor that has the look of wood or ceramics can now be achieved at a much lower cost than the real thing.
A layer of urethane on the surface of the floor also makes it a relatively simple option to care for – a simple sweep or mop on a regular basis will ensure that the floor sparkles.
Payne spoke highly of vinyl planking's simple interlocking installation system, and in particular, its high-end finish.
She wrote: "Vinyl floors have always been great for kitchens and bathrooms. Now I can comfortably recommend using vinyl plank flooring in family rooms, dining rooms and living rooms when a nice area rug is included in the flooring budget."
Finishing, Payne stated: "I am truly impressed by the great look and function of these newly-designed vinyl floors."
