As a flooring material, bamboo is relatively resilient. However, like most natural materials - when pets and small children are involved - it can become scratched or damaged over time.
Bamboo flooring is, thankfully, relatively easy to repair if the damage is minor.
With this in mind we've produced a short list of tips that can be used when repairing your bamboo floor:
Wax, crayons and gum - These substances can prove to be particularly frustrating to remove. Fear not though, we have a cool solution.
Place a bag of ice over the wax, crayon marks or gum, then leave for five minutes. Once you have done this, you will find that the substance has hardened and can be chipped away and removed.
Scratches - Stain pens can be used to fill in small scratches, as can wood putty. It should be noted that these products should only be used to fill in the most minor of scratches.
Dents - Again, wood putty should be used to fill in small dents. Before making a purchase, make a note of the wood putty's colour - make sure it closely matches that of your floor.
