A floor covering option that simply exudes elegance and class, marble flooring really is wonderful.
Despite being an extremely popular floor covering, many simply aren't aware of the types of marble flooring that are available. With this in mind, we've produced a short guide detailing the types of marble flooring that you're most likely to find on the market:
Polished Marble - Polished marble is the most commonly found variety. Specially finished to bring out the smooth and shiny surface, this type can be quite costly, but there can be no doubt about the beauty it exudes.
Honed Marble - Not quite as visually appealing as polished marble, honed marble offers a matte finish that is less susceptible to general wear-and-tear. The matte finish also offers more grip underfoot - making it a safer option for the home.
Tumbled Marble - Tumbled with sand and an aggregate, this type of marble flooring has a much softer and more well-rounded texture. However, tumbled marble does offer a significant disadvantage, as it is prone to wear-and-tear from everyday use.
