Stick to the guidelines when choosing your laminate floor
With winter approaching, many homeowners will be looking to make improvements to make their home more comfortable for the upcoming colder months.
This will undoubtedly, for many, include installing a new laminate floor. Going ahead without doing any substantial research can result in disaster.
With this in mind here are three guidelines to follow when picking your laminate flooring:
- Ensure your laminate floor matches the overall look of your room. Remember your flooring should complement your room design, rather than clashing with the existing decor.
- Look for the flooring with the new technologies. These include anti-static, anti-microbial and sound-block features – all of which are ideal for high traffic areas.
- If your room is small, it is highly recommended not to choose a laminate flooring of a darker tone – go for a lighter tone instead. Planks should be installed so that they are consistent with the direction that the room's main natural light source.
